Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny made a visit to our house!

Jack was very curious about what he left.

After his first bite of a peep he was hooked. We had to take them away and hide them.

Playing with his bubble gun.

Where's Jack?
Sweet little Easter bunnies.
We had a great Easter this year. Sunday, we enjoyed watching Jack enjoy his Easter basket. He loved the bubbles and of course the candy. It was a special Easter because Luke got to speak in church. I was more nervous for him than he was, not that I don't think he can give an excellent talk, but on Easter Sunday, that is alot of pressure! He gave a beautiful talk that was really touching. The bishop afterward told him that that was exactly what the ward needed to hear. He told me that his talk proved that he couldn't speak in church without crying, I can't either. It was great though. I was sad because I didn't get any pictures of Jack in his Easter outfit. Before church he fell asleep so I decided I would take pictures after, but since we had a blowout at church (Luke came and found me with Jack wearing no pants so we had to leave church early) we never got any pictures. I will take some next sunday. He did look really cute though. Then we had a true ham Easter dinner with some friends. We missed our families but we ad a great day!

Easter Hunts

Getting ready for the hunt at the church. Jack is always surrounded by the cute girls.

Ready Go!
So fun.
He had a hard time keeping the eggs in his basket. Everything is a ball to him right now, so everything gets thrown.

Gets tricky walking in the grass.

Easter Mail!

We got a fun Easter package in the mail last week! Gma & Gpa P sent us some fun presents. Jack loved his eggs (Especially when he got one open and candy was in it) and his bubbles! They were so nice to send us some Easter surprises, it was so fun! This is also Luke's favorite time of the year with all the basketball and all the girl scout cookies! He loves, loves Somoas! So when 15 boxes of Somoas came in the Easter package, you know that he was excited! Thank you so much, we love you!

Spring Break- St. Louis

So Luke had spring break last week and we didn't really have any plans. Luke needed to get some studying in and since we are poor :) we decided it was probably for the best to just stay home. But after a few days of never seeing Luke I decided that we should go somewhere. We got really lucky when a guy in our ward offered his apartment in Saint Louis for us to stay in. He works there a few days a week, so he wasn't going to be there and he had an empty apartment. So we decided to make a quick trip out of it. It is about 4 hours from our house, so we got up early Thursday morning and headed out. Jack was great in the car, he is kind of starting to watch movies so that helped. When we got there we drove downtown and then decided to go to the zoo. It was awesome. It was a really fun zoo and the best part of it was that it was FREE! That's right it doesn't cost a thing to get in. It is also ranked one of the best zoos in the country. They have some really cool exhibits. The penguin exhibit was amazing, you go in a cave and they have big pools and places for the penguines to play on both sides. You can reach out and touch the penguins they are so close. The pools are just glass so you can see the penguins swimming in the water, so fun! It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun. Friday we went and saw the arch and went to the top. You get in this really small tram to go up (kind of scary) and when you get to the top it isn't very wide. They have windows that look down on the city. It is awesome. The arch is right by the Mississippi River so we enjoyed that. Then we went and toured the Anheiser-Busch (Budweisser) factory. It was really cool. They have the Clydsedal horses there and show you how beer is made. Budweisser started in St. Louis so there is alot of history there. Of course the best part was the free samples at the end. JK :) Then we headed home. It was a short trip but it was fun to go to a new city and to get to hang out with Luke. Plus we also got to see some places that were more ghetto than where are apartments are, that is always nice.

Rough Day

So Jack is walking every where! So with him being a new walker comes lots of bumps and bruises! One day he got a big scrape on the side of his face and a big bump on the head. Of course it was just hours before we had to take him in to the doctors for his one year shots. We had to reassure the doctors that we love him and don't beat him :)
So it was a rough day for Jack! He was a wreak by the end of the day! Shots and bumps and bruises. So sad.

zoo day

The other day the weather was so nice we decided to take a trip wih our friends to the zoo. It was so much fun to get outside! We love the spring! David & Jane came along.

Taking a break. So sweet.

We love the giraffes.
It is so fun now that Jack can walk around with his friends now! No more crawling on the dirty ground! Peering over, to get a better look.
The lions came right up to the window, Jack didn't know what to think.
Jack was worn out by the end!

Grandma Face

So for some reason, while we were in Utah every time Jack would see my mom he would make this face. We couldn't ever figure out why but wihout fail he would start doing this face around her. He is turning into quite the character. So since we have been home whenever I tell Jack to do his Grandma Face and he does the same face. So funny. So this is for you mom!

Utah

Utah was fun we had a great time spending time with the family. We didn't do too much but it was nice to be able to relax and let Jack have some family time! I was so proud of myself because after a couple days of being there Avery really started to warm up to me. She even would fall asleep on my shoulder and cuddle with me (if you know Avery that is a big deal!) I love that sweet girl! I am excited to be able to spend all summer with our family!

Jack's birthday party (part 3)

So his 3rd and final party was in UTAH! Me and Jack flew home with Neils and Jill(it was so nice to not fly alone!) and came home to a big surprise party! (Thanks mom and Summer!) All the fam was there and we had pizza and cake. As you can see he had the cutest dinosaur cake! His smash cake to go along with it was a dinosaur egg and he loved it! It was fun to come home to everyone and see all of our family all at once! Jack loved it! So all in all I got my dream of Jack having lots of birthday parties and having him get spoiled by everyone. His birthday was exactly how I pictured it, I couldn't have asked for more! Thanks everyone!
