He drives them in and around his bowl and cup.

He crashes them into each other.

He makes the car noises.

He piles them up on each other.

He lines them up.

Jack has been really into cars lately. He loves the movie and one day when we were at Walmart he somehow convinced me to buy him the set of cars. It has been so fun to watch him play with them. They have kept him entertained for hours and hours. He has to bring them with him wherever he goes. One of his favorite things to do is to play with them in his high chair.

fall is here

Last week we went to a farm to pick apples. The kids loved it and we got some really yummy apples.

We grabbed our buckets and off we went.

Jack was frustrated at how hard it was to get the apples off the tree.

But he soon figured it out.

I love this classic Jack face.

I think he was upset about stepping in some rotten apples.

Bailey was the first to bite into an apple, but she was so nice to share.

Jack loved them.

good ol' Kansas City bbq

So if you come visit us this is what you have to look forward to......

After the plaza we couldn't go back home without going to our favorite bbq place in Kansas City.
Oklahoma Joes
It is in a gas station, but oh it is so good!

We always get the same thing because we love it so much. This is the Z-man. It is beef brisket topped with smoked provolone cheese and onion rings all on a kaiser bun. It is so yummy!

Our other choice is the Carolina style pulled pork sandwich. It pulled pork topped with spicy slaw and Bubba's bbq sauce.
And you can't forget about the fries and the baked beans.
The food doesn't look pretty but it definitely tastes good!

The Plaza

Last weekend we headed out to the Plaza to an art festival. It was a fun time. They had booths up and down the streets from different artists and restaurants.

We had a really good time. We got to meet up with our friends John and Natalie, and Natalie was nice enough to take some pictures of Jack ( she took the last 3 pictures) I loved them. Jack had a good time playing in the fountains and running up and down the streets. This is one of my favorite places to go in Kansas City!

homesick for utah

Do you remember these days? Jack sure does. Ever since we got back from Utah Jack has missed his horse at Grandma's & Grandpa's.

He tries to find replacement "horses" whenever he can. Anything he can straddle turns into a horse. He is always climbing on the furniture trying to ride the horse.

There is a little carousel downtown that we found to take him to. He loves it. Even though it is so small every time he comes back around he starts waving at us. It is our new Friday night adventure. It makes me smile that he remembers things from Utah.

We miss all of you in Utah!
