Family Night

There is nothing better in the Summer than all the fresh fruit! We had tons of apricots on our tree this year. We had a good time to get together as a family working together. With the family as large as it has grown, it doesn't take us too long anymore to pick the whole tree. And they were so yummy!!!

I love this park!

We heard about this park and had to go! It was more than we ever expected. It had everything, a park, duck pond, fountains, and beautiful gardens. The kids loved it! Yes, this was the second time I let Jack run around in a diaper in public, because I didn't think we would need a swimsuit. There is nothing better than a diaper filled with water! Jack loved the ducks, when we started to walk away from them, he turned and ran right back to them. He is starting to get really fast and loves to run! We couldn't believe that this park was in Orem and we had never been! It is definately a hidden treasure!
......and by the way it is free!

hot summer days

little fishy

So this summer we have defintely taken advantage of Aunt Ally's pool. The first time we went Jack wasn't a big fan, he cried most of the time. So when we went again I was so surprised by how much Jack loved it! He is a nut! He was mad at me for making him wear a life jacket. He likes to be a free little man.

He loves to just jump in the deep part where he can't touch. He will go completely under and then get mad when you try to save him from drowning. He will try to run away from me and jump in before I can catch him. He is a little fish, if only he knew how to swim.
So needless to say a day at the pool is not relaxing for me. It is a lot of work to keep him from drowning. Thank goodness for suckers that keep him out of the water for a bit to give me a break!

4th of JULY

So this year we had a great 4th of July. I was so excited to get up super early because I knew Jack would love the balloons. He had so much fun. We got up close to one and the fire came on and scared him, so the rest of the time he kept saying hot every time he saw a balloon. Then we headed of for the big parade! Grandpa Skip has a tradition of making a big breakfast at the parade, the blueberry pancakes were awesome! They also bring down a big truck for all the kids to sit above everyone. I love this tradition! I think we had a group of around 100 people this year. My favorite part of the parade is the jets that come at the very beginning. It was great to visit with the Shippen family. Then we headed off to Luke's parents. We had tons of good food, went swimming, and played lots of badminton. Luke and I had a very good day playing badminton and went undefeated. It was alot of fun. Then we went to Summer's house and had more food and then watched the neighborhood fireworks. We had a long day but it was alot of fun to be able to spend the 4th with family!

Boys will be boys!

I don't know how many times a day I say, He is such a Boy!
From his cute little baseball gear (thanks Gma & Gpa P,

to his first real golf club (I don't know what his dad was thinking)
to trying so hard to be part of the bigger boys and play video games, to wanting to be just like his Grandpas.

He is ALL boy. He always has a ball in his hand and if it isn't a ball he still thinks it is and throws it. He is always running around like crazy and climbing on EVERYTHING! He has become quite the little dare devil! He keeps me busy all day running around cleaning up after him, but I love it! I wouldn't change a thing. I also love having a sweet little boy that loves his mama! He is always willing to give sweet kisses and hug (especially if he is in trouble). I love getting some taste of what it is like to be a boy!

So I got together with some friends from high school for lunch the other day. It was alot of fu and we are starting to get a house full of kids! It was so fun to see everyone and their kids. We will definetely have to do it again! Thanks Courtney!

Trouble

So one of Jack's favorite things to do right now is dump out cups of water. It drives me nuts! Everytime he sees a cup he goes for it. The other day my mom told me that my dad keeps a glass of water up by his bed, and each morning when Jack gets up he goes and dumps it out, that is one of the first places he heads. Good thing he is cute:)

Tim Mcgraw!!!!!

So Luke's parents called us the other night and suprised us with Tim Mcgraw tickets!!! We were so excited! It was way fun!!! We didn't get a great picture, but Tim was looking pretty sexy!
We went with Bree and Brad! It was a good time, thanks Neils and Jill!!!!!! We loved it!

Play date with mom

Jack and I were bored one morning so we headed off looking for an adventure! We decided to head down to Discovery Park! Jack was so excited.
They had this fun swing, that Jack couldn't get enough of. There were a billion kids there and only one cool swing so I felt bad leaving jack on it for too long. But every time I would try to take him off he would start signing please. It was so sweet and so I couldn't help but push him a few more times. Needless to say we were kind of a swing hog.
Then we decided to go pick up the cousins and head for some lunch! The slides at discovery park were too hot to go on so I wanted to take him somewhere to play, where else but McDonalds.
Gotta love the toy.
He had fun being "big" with Ethan and Haylee. He loves to run around with them!
I love the stage Jack is in right now. We have so much fun together! I feel like we get to do stuff together instead of me just dragging him along. He is my little buddy!

Cheese!
