preschool graduation

Jack completed his first year of preschool. He had a great time making new friends, learning new things, getting into trouble with Avs and showing off his strong, funny personality. He had a streak of time where I would have to drag him into school with him crying but as soon as I would leave he would realize that he really did like school and go on to have a great time- but it made for some frustrating days. He loved his teacher Miss Misty. He had a love/hate relationship with a girl named Rylie. He talked about her ALL the time. He said that she was mean to him and at times she didn't listen to Miss Misty. At first I thought , oh this girl must be really mean and I felt bad for Jack. But the more he talked bout her the more I thought that it was a little crush and he secretly liked her. All in all we had a fun time watching him grow in a school setting!

Graduation was held at a park in Pleasant Grove. They had a patriotic theme and a little program. He was chosen to be one of the 5 kids that had speaking parts. (she said she chose the loudest kids :) ) He had the part of George Washington, he said "George Washington was a very good man. He could not tell a lie." He had his part memorized and did a great job.
I loved their little outfits. He was so excited to wear one like dads.

They had a song where they waved the American flag and afterwards they were supposed to put their flags under their chairs, he kept trying to but his robe was in the way and it kept blocking his way. So he very politely but loudly said "Um Miss Misty, I'm having trouble putting my flag back." He said it so sweetly and funny that we all had a good laugh.
 Showing his diploma
His cheering squad...Gpa Neils, Gma Kathy, Mom & Charlie(it was at a crazy time during the day so it was hard to have everyone there. Luke HAD to be in court that day and was so sad to miss it.)
Miss Misty with Jack & Avs
Alone these two are sweet but put them together and its a whole different story :)

The fabulous 4- this was our little playgoup. We would take turns taking the kids every Thursday.
Avs, Khloee, Jack, Sawyer

I love these moments when I get to be a proud mom! I sure love this kid!

Char was a late walker. Jack walked right around his first birthday so when Charlie turned 1 I thought he would do the same. But nope, he was on his own schedule and he is a stubborn one. So week after week he still took his time. He would show signs that could walk but he didn't want to try. When you try to practice with him he wouldn't. I don't think he like to perform for others. Anyways. it didn;t start to bug me until it started to get warmer outside. Then he was always begging to go outside and play. And this is what would happen. He drove me nuts getting SO dirty when he would crawl all over the grass and dirt. He ruined pants but he didn't care! This is really how dirty he would get everyday.

sleepover

One of the most fabulous things about moving to our new house is our neighbors. There are 4 year old boys on both sides of us and I heard from one of the neighbors that there are 38 kids under the age of 8 just on our little street. Chaos but so much fun. That is exactly what we were looking for. The first night that we were at our new house cleaning before we moved in, we got a knock on our door from our next door neighbor. I was so excited when I saw her walking over, she was a cute girl with 2 young kids. Abby was her name and she has a 4 year old boy named Benjamin. We became friends since day 1.
Anyways, Abby is such a fun mom and she planned a sleepover for Benjamin, Jack & Cohen(another neighbor boy). It was Jack's very first sleepover at somebody's house other than family. We felt okay about it since it was just next door. But as you can see the boys had a great time! The had snacks, built towers and jumped on the couch cushions, watched a movie and slept in a tent, and of course they had to dressup and be superheroes.

They had so much fun as you can see by the pictures(thanks for all the pictures Abby!) We were so grateful that it was just next door, because at about 4am Jack wanted to come home. I thought he did pretty good for his first time!
