graduation

It is about time that I post about Luke's graduation. He definetely deserves a post for this!
Sunday, May 16th, was Luke's graduation. It was kind of a surreal day. We have been waiting for this day for the last 3 years, actually our entire married life. It was crazy how fast the last three years went. Luke worked so hard and we are so proud of him.
Graduation was really nice. It was a wonderful ceremony where we could reflect on the past 3 years and celebrate all the hard work our husbands put in for our families. We love Luke so so much!!!

Walking into graduation (I stole this off Mykle's blog, so it is mostly of Wade but Luke is behind him.)
Getting hooded. My pictures were horrible at the ceremony but I did get some video, so I will try and post those later.
Luke with his hood on, looking very distinguished :)
Jack wondering why dad was dressed so funny.

Our first attempt at a family picture.
Luke and Nate and their boys.
Us and the Hills.
Us and Luke's family- we were so glad they could be there!
The girls- Mykle, Laura, and I.
I am so grateful for all the friends I mad the last three years!
Luke and his parents.
Luke and his sister Bree.

The boys- Steve, Nate, Luke, & Wade

His diploma-its huge!
The law school, Luke's second home. They had a nice reception at the law school after graduation. We got to see where he spent all of his time and also got to see our friends one last time and say goodbye.
After it was all over we went and had a nice dinner at our favorite place in Lawrence, Free State.

our last visitors

Wednesday, May 12th, Luke's dad arrived to Lawrence. We began our weekend of fun. We spent the week eating at all of our favorite places one last time and trying to have some fun in-between all the packing. It was a crazy, busy week but we still had lots of fun!
Here we are at Papa Kenos.
We walked down Mass street. Here we are at mine and Jack's favorite stop- the candy store. I love a good candy store. One day I will own my own candy store.
Late Thursday night, Luke's mom and sister came in. Friday we headed out to Kansas City. Our first stop was the Plaza.

And can you guess what happened after this picture? Yes, its my son that falls into the fountains. Good thing we were closest to Gap clearance racks!
Then we had to stop at Oklahoma Joes. Oh how we miss this place.
Finger licking good!
Then we went to a Royals game. It was a lot of fun. They just updated the ballpark and put a lot of fun things for kids behind the outfield.
Jack was so funny, they had this place where you run and try and beat the times of some of the Royals players, you had to pay for it, but Jack just kept sneaking his way over there and running along side the other kids. We did finally pay for him to go.
His new way of sliding.

They had a mini ball field where the kids could hit and run the bases. It was adorable. Our dream one day is to have one of these fields in our backyard.

Then the game started.
Jack has to pretend to be Buzz and shoot his laser in every picture.

They even had fireworks after the game.

We had a full day of fun! Saturday we went down to Mass street again (in the rain) and shopped a little. We had a great time that weekend. They also helped us pack up our WHOLE house that weekend. It was such a big help!! We couldn't have done it without them and we are so grateful they all could come out! Thanks again!
