christmas eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my house. We had a nice dinner and then we started the tradition of opening all of our gifts with my family on Christmas Eve. It is really nice to spread all of the gift giving out over a couple days, I think the kids appreciate each gift a little more.

The only thing Jack had asked for this year was a pillow pet- he really gets suckered by those commercials. For some reason he became obsessed with getting the bee pillow pet. He was so so happy when he openend his present from Gma & Gpa.
Luke was so excited to give Ethan an old football he had from when he was little that was signed by Ty Detmer. Its so fun giving gifts that you are so excited to give!
Gma Cole sent money for all of us- this is always a nice surprise! It is no easy task for her with 50 grandchildren and who know how many great-grandchildren! We really appreciate it.
Then of course we opened Christmas Eve jammies. (thanks gma Jill for the jammies this year!) It is not easy getting a picture of the 2 boys. Charlie finally wiggled his way out of Jack's hold.
Give Char a pacifier and set him free and he is all better. This was all I needed for Christmas- aren't my boys so handsome!
Then we read the Christmas story from the bible and sing Christmas songs. We are so glad that we live closer to great gma Lola.
Then the party ended and we got ready for Santa to come. We laid out the cookies & carrots and wrote Santa a note and sent the kids of to bed. The elves had to get busy!
